Fencing Tracker allows users to view information of all US fencers, fencing clubs, and NCAA fencing teams.
Fencing Tracker is an information platform that displays information about the US fencing community. Fencing Tracker allows users to view information of various fencers, fencing clubs, and National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) fencing teams. Fencing Tracker compiles relevant fencing information from various public websites, including the official USFA website (usafencing.org) and fencingtimelive.com, and allows the user to view all the information in one place and calculate statistics of past national-level tournaments, in an intuitive and simple way.
FENCING TRACKER FEATURES:
FAVORITES TAB
The Favorites tab allows a user to view the Fencer Details page of the fencer that the user has linked to their Favorite page. In the Fencer Details page, the user can link the fencer to their Favorite page in order to access the information of a specific fencer more conveniently.
FENCERS TAB
In the Fencers tab, there is a search function where the user is able to find a fencer by the fencer’s name. The user can select any fencer and view the fencer’s details and tournament statistics.
Fencing Tracker gathers public information of USFA members' information from the official USFA website, usafencing.org. The app displays information of each USFA member, including name, gender, representing country, birth year, region (if the member lives in the US), division (if the member lives in the US), USFA number, affiliated club(s), rating for each weapon, and tournament statistics. In the Fencer Details page, the user is able to select “Link to Favorite” in order to link a fencer to the Favorite page.
Fencing Tracker gathers public information of national-level tournaments (SYC, SJCC, NAC, Junior Olympics, Summer Nationals) from fencingtimelive.com. In the Fencer Details page, there is a tournament statistics page that displays USFA members' tournament statistics, including pool bouts, Direct Elimination (DE) bouts, pool bouts that ended with a one-point difference, and overall bouts. For each type of bout, the win-count, loss-count, and win-percentage is displayed. In the tournament statistics page, there is a drop-down list containing an “Overall” option, all the fencing seasons since the 2019-2020 season, and all the national level tournaments that the fencer has participated in. The user can select overall, the season overall, or a specific tournament to see the tournament statistics of the selected tournament(s).
CLUBS TAB
In the Clubs tab, there is a search function where the user is able to find a club by the club’s name. From the search page, the user can select any club and view the club’s details.
Fencing Tracker gathers public information of clubs registered to the USFA from the official USFA website, usafencing.org. The app displays information of each club, including address, phone number, email, website, and a member list. In the member list of each club, it can be filtered by gender and weapon rating.
DISCOVER TAB
The fencing tracker has a Discover tab, which contains features including the Clubs Nearby, NCAA list, and Additional Links.
The Discover tab has a Clubs Nearby search feature that uses location services to find clubs near the user. The location of the club is based on the address of the club from the Club Details. The app displays clubs near the user and allows the user to view the Club Details and Members List.
The Discover tab contains a list of NCAA fencing teams. The information of the list is gathered from official university and college websites. The user can view the list and select any NCAA team to view the details. The details include the college or university, team name, head coach name, and head coach contact information.
The Discover tab contains an Additional Links page that links the user to various important or commonly used fencing websites.
